Established in April 1969, Mun Siong began doing plant maintenance works for Shell Eastern Petroleum Private Limited at Pulau Bukom. In the early 1970s, Singapore’s petrochemical industry experienced a large growth with major oil refiners including Shell, Mobil, Esso and Singapore Petroleum Company making sizable capital investments. Spurred by such promising development, Mun Siong expanded from focusing solely on maintenance works, to participating in constructions with large MNCs. Since then, they have successfully completed numerous prestigious construction projects both overseas and with the local refineries.
